Osteoporosis bbbbbbb Our unique osteoporosis program has been successfully enrolling patients for the past eight years. bbbb Research studies have shown that specific exercise can improve bone mineral density and this six-week exercise and education program utilizes the scientific research that evaluates the effects of exercise on bone mineral density. bbb These programs generally run every six weeks during the months of September through April and are available at both of our Guelph clinics as well as our Acton location. Here is what some of our past participants have said: "I really enjoyed learning and doing the exercises!" "I wish I would have had this information along time ago..." Post Partum For Life

Post Partum For Life bb This program will help you restore the strength and stability of your lower back and pelvis after having your baby. Ideally you should wait eight weeks after delivery to participate in this program, however many of our clients have realized that the benefit is still available even eight years (or more) later. That's why we call our program Post Partum For Life. What will you learn? The education will be both instructional (discussion) and physical (exercise) and includes: • A description of the anatomy of the bones, joints and muscles of your low back and pelvis • How the low back and pelvis function during lifting, carrying, walking and other daily activities • How pregnancy changes the stability of your core • Why it is essential to regain stabilization of your back and pelvis to avoid chronic low back and pelvic pain and the possibility of a prolapsed uterus or incontinence • How to isolate your deep abdominals, which have been stretched, and make them strong again (flat stomachs!) • Retraining your stretched and perhaps torn pelvic floor muscles (it takes more than a Kegel...) • How to properly and effectively progress your exercise program |
