Robin graduated from McMaster's Bachelor of Sciences program in physiotherapy in
1998. He has completed numerous post-graduate courses of the orthopaedic division specific to treatment of the spine and extremities. He has received a Diploma in sport physiotherapy in 2004, the highest such level attainable through Sport Physiotherapy Canada. Robin has extensive experience and knowledge in on-field management of sport injuries and specific sport biomechanics. In addition, Robin has completed the Level 1 Part 2a/3a Acupuncture courses through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. His personal interests include assisting in the clinical education program at McMaster University, completion of the Part A and B orthopaedic exams and medical team coverage at the regional and national levels. Robin will now be seeing patients at the Univeristy of Guelph's Health and Performance Centre.
Meryl De Costa will be taking over as Clinic Manger and full time Physiotherapist. Meryl graduated from McMaster University in 1998 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the Univeristy of Waterloo. Over the last 8 years Meryl has worked in two of the leading Sports Medicine clinics in Ontario. She has treated a wide range of clients from semi-professional athletes to the weekend warriors. Meryl is working towards her professional certification in Intermediate Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. She will be joining us from The Sports Medicine Specialist and will be seeing patients at both the Acton and Georgetown locations.
Christine graduated form the University of Ottawa's Bachelor of Sciences in Physiotherapy program in 2005. After graduation she worked in Orthopaedics and joined the Eramosa team in 2007. Christine has completed her level one and level two courses in manual therapy as well as her Part A McKenzie course.
Professionally, Christine is involved with the Ontario Physiotherapy Association as a member of the Awards Committee and the Westgate Executive committee. Christine is an all-around athlete and enjoys treating sports injuries and also provides bilingual services for Georgetown's francophone community.
Shawn recently graduated with his Maters in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2006. He has completed his Level 1 Manual therapy and Level 1 Acupuncture. Shawn also has a Bachelors of exercise and sports science from the University of Manitoba and
has a strong personal training background. He also has experience in strength and conditioning with recreational, amateur, university and semi-professional athletes. Shawn also has practical understanding of an athlete as he has played Junior A hockey, competed in University track, and is currently competing in marathons and triathlons. Specifically, Shawn will be competing in the Boston Marathon which he qualified for in May 2006. His areas of interest are sports physiotherapy and injury/illness preventions.
Rebecca Morley is a graduate of the Canadian therapeutic College in Burlington. She is trained in a number of Swedish massage techniques including fascial work, lymphatic drainage, joint play and deep tissue massage. Rebecca is currently on maternity leave, please contact the Georgetown clinic for information on new Massage hours with Sue Varillas.
Leanne started with EPA in July 2006. She has a B.A. from
the University of Waterloo with a minor in Gerontology. She
also graduated with honors from the Physiotherapy
Assistant Program at Humber college.
Leanne can help you with respect to billing, accounts
payable/receivables and car insurance/WSIB inquires.
Sarah can now be found helping Lindsay on the desk a few nights a week. She is your contact person for booking and changing appointments.
Lindsay is a recent addition to EPA, She graduated with honors from the Medical Office Administrator program at CDI college, She can be found working evenings and is your contact person for booking appointments as well as all billing inquiries with regards to WSIB.
